I have connected my Ubuntu PC to my TV to serve as my source for media consumption as well as for scrolling through some online fora. Sometimes I have the need to transfer links and random text from the PC to my phone. An extension to convert any selected text to QR code comes very handy in those times. The QR Code reader in my phone keeps track of what was scanned in the past so that's neat too.
Ad blocker. Same for every browser.
I feel naked without uBlock Origin and Bitwarden on whatever browser I'm on.
Back then it definitely was an adblock. I think Ghostery was one of my favorites. Now, you gotta be stupid if you still actively use Chrome as your main browser.
My favorite chrome extension is not having anything to do with google at all
I misread and thought you asked “what’s your favorite chromosome extension?”
I don't use Chrome, but a favorite Firefox extension is Dark Reader (dynamically makes webpages that lack dark mode support dark mode), and it's available for Chrome. So maybe that.
Not using Chrome as a daily driver.
For Firefox I use 20. 4 for YouTube directly 2 for Twitch 2 for Steam uBlock Origin Privacy Badger
Besides that, I use the following: Flagfox - Shows me a Flag in the address bar. This way I know where the server IP is located and with a click on it, I get some information, like who owns the IP. Keepa - A price tracker and alert for Amazon Tampermonkey - Userscripts for websites
I raw dog chrome other than ungoogled chrome... I use it very little... it's gross
I really enjoyed tamper monkey when I was using it for school
Well, it was ublock so now I don't use chrome

Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world
7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.
