I went on a job interview and the interviewer said that she didnt have anyone with my experience come for an interview so she preferred me. She showed me around the workplace, didnt ask many questions, let me show her how i work and gave me a few days to call her after i had thought about it to confirm that i wanted this job. In my inexperienced mind i thought that it meant that she wanted me and that when i called to confirm that i did want this job that it meant we had a deal right?
WRONG!
Apparently we never said that we have a deal and she is considering one more candidate ๐ my dad told me to text her and let her know of my misunderstanding so that she can let me know quicker about their final decision. She then explained that candidates that have been chosen would go on a second phase of the interview that i had already gone through because i was on vacation when the interview happened and she didnt wanna ruin it by telling me to come back again. Apparently she explained this during the interview too.
Welp assuming makes an ass out of u and me
i have already quit my job and i have already told my colleagues that i will go to this other job and if they dont pick me i will go through the humiliation ritual of telling them that i wont go after all cause im a fucking idiot
im so embarassed its insane
TL;DR: the interviewer said nice things about me and i thought she hired me but there is a 50/50 chance that she wont and i will embarass myself
