Writing "Billy" is like writing "x-tra", it only ever confuses people for no benefit.

I disagree, it's taking the piss by making a billion sound smaller. Because of that, it almost sounds like a parent handing out pocket money to it's children. Not sure how you call this form of (dark) humor in English though.
It doesn't confuse plenty of people. You might not be one of the people the person posting in the screenshot was talking to. You don't have to be. It might not be vernacular you're familiar or comfortable with. It doesn't have to be.
Not everyone in every neighborhood in the country talks or acts like you. The elitist attitude of explaining how useless their language choices are definitely reflects poorly on someone, but it isn't them.
And the prices never came down.
It's worse than zero. The companies that charged us tariffs are going to keep the money they got AND we are going to pay them a second time as "recompense".
They're going to use the profits to buy out and shut down their smaller local competitors, too.
Unilevel has been on a buying spree since COVID, for instance.

I would say this is more accurate than their next meal, people say Amazon is evil but refuse to give it up because "it's too convenient!!" but someone trying not to starve is a bit different
and most of these companies funded trump, i dont know about costco though.
Costco has been pretty consistent about not involving themselves with the current admin from what I've seen

The language hurts the message entirely and very odd to bury Walmart behind a "billy" when they are 5x the problem of the top mentioned billion. It obfuscates their role for some.

Lutnick (and Trump) knew who'd be holding the bag once the dust settled. and you know they're gonna keep doing it!

And Honduras, fully in the thrall of a corporate police state. No education. No social services. Just cops armed to the teeth killing people for fun.
And Haiti. Functionally a slave colony operated by the US textile industry.

Symmetrical design choice? OCD? What's with so many people in this sub being so focused on the minute details that have nothing to do with the point?
