An instance only starts pulling in posts/comments from a community on another instance once at least 1 person on that instance is subscribed. Very likely you're the first person on lemmy.today to subscribe, so it'll work fine for future posts/comments, but not historically.
Thank you for that explanation. I will test it and post content on those communities with my .world account now that my .today account is subscribed to them, so I can interact with them moving forward.
Hi,
It works the way @Barbarian@sh.itjust.works mentioned above. :) I also saw that you made a new test comment in missingpersons on this instance and it federated to lemmy.world as expected.
And welcome, hope you like it here. :)
I am enjoying lemmy.today a lot and would like to stay on this instance for the foreseeable future. Thanks for welcoming me.
Because Lemmy.today is a joke
Its how federation between instances work... I actually find it interesting. We have hundreds of instances and yet they manage to keep up to date with eachother almost in real time, at least for communities where someone is subscribed.
Pretty cool tech. And because of that, you can sit on the quokk.au queer friendly anarchist instance instead of this one, where you feel at home.
Thanks for the confirmation
Yet, here you are. LMAO at your mod history... yikes! lol
I wouldn’t know. What stands out to you as something you disagree with? You don’t like all my criticism of governments I’ll bet.
I actually don't care about governments at all, I'm an anarchist. But what stands out to me is how many comments you've had removed and your bans. You sound like a very angry person. And your post here does nothing to change that picture.
Like which particular ones do you disagree with though? Quote me.
My real point is that you seem very argumentative. For no reason. Example: you came in a Lemmy.today instance community that's for lemmy.today updates and decided to call the instance a "a joke."
So I disagree with you calling this instance a joke and think it's lame that you came here to say that. You seem to enjoy looking for arguments. It's weird to do that, in my opinion.
So but you specifically called me out for getting moderated. So I assume that you just automatically assume all moderation is good and accurate. Correct? If that’s not the case, and you don’t want to look like an idiot, please… Let me know what I’ve said that has been moderated that you disagree with, because that is how you’re defining me.
Come on, you can do it. I’m sure there’s something you don’t like
Bruh, with as much stuff as you have had removed by mods, I don't think they were all mistakes. You're looking for an argument that just isn't going to happen. Sorry to disappoint. :)
I’m not disappointed that you gave me exactly what I thought you would.
