I miss my 2ndgen kindle so much. I've had 3 since that first one bricked and with each generation they've gotten crappier with less features. Good on you keeping this one going. Never replace it.
I still have my 1st Gen Kindle too. Their first one that people thought was super ugly. I fucking loved the design of that. Then and now. So easy to turn pages on. Took this pic just now.
Not a fan of the scroll bar, because when that wears out, will be tough to replace. Other than that, I love the form factor of this one. :)

Whatcha reading?
Z for Zachariah by Robert C. O'Brien.
It's a post-apocalyptic survival fiction novel from the late 70s, told in first person by a teenage girl trying to survive on her own.
I'm really enjoying it! I have heard about this book forever, but never actually knew anything about it or read it before now. It was adapted to a movie with Margot Robbie, but it's supposedly way different than the book. I heard it's pretty decent. I'll watch it after I've finished the book.
It's jailbreaked?
It is not, but it's never been connected to the internet, and I took out the wifi connector last time I had it opened to change out the screen. And I've never had a DRM book on it, every one has been DRM free since the say I bought it. :)
Thank you. I'll try Calibre to send books to my keyboard.
And if that doesn't work (sometimes Calibre updates are wonky on my system), just convert your books in Calibre in the format you need, then copy directly over via USB. My Kindle Keyboard uses .azw format and .mobi format. All the newer ones use .epub, but I was unable to find a workaround to make my older kindle keyboards to read epubs.
