Ever wonder why they're trying to make the very idea of good things happening unrealistic and trite?
Our society doesn't scoff at the idea but rather uses the story of it already being such a system as it's ideological justification. This story exists obviously in stark contrast to the material reality. Most of the superstructure exisis in order to reproduce and maintain this story.
Afterall it's easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism as someone once said.
