If the head mod would like to respond I would really enjoy and explanation. I saved up a month of questions and just did it. I didn;t break the rules. If it had said no spamming or whatever and got an answer from a mod then I never would have done it. I just googled: is it spam to asks a bunch of questions at once? and it says usually it's not spam. Then I googled. Is it spam to ask a bunch of different questions at once? And it said No. On a side note kind of funny no mod has responded yet after 7 hours. Why do people sign up to be mods if they won't diligently take care of their community? I think mods sign up to be mods and have several communites they mod and pick and choose. To me it's respect to even be offered a mod job. But people have like 18 to 20 communities they mod. Why be a mod for that many if you are not willing to take care of the community that you signed up to be a mod? I only got !askhistorians@lemmy.world from prolific post so much and plus the site was run by something named a karmabot. If your going to let a bot or automod or whatever do stuff so you don't have to, then why be a mod if you aren't going to pay attention everyday?

One post per hour please, any more then that and your dominating the new feed.

Who owes you a response? Why?

[-] MolochAlter@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

Mods, by virtue of being moderators?

Like, it's a role that comes with responsibilities, that is the only reasonable expectation this guy had.

[-] slazer2au@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

15 posts in 5 minutes is spam, no matter what google says. People do not want you posting that much, look at your latest spam batch to askscience they are all double digits in downvotes.

The modlog says your ban is only for 6 days, go take sometime off lemmy and enjoy the summer.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

Kind of hope you respond to this. And there is no sarcasm in any of this. You are the first person in nearly 2 decades to tell me have a nice summer. Kind of made me feel like a kid again. I can see now how easy social stuff can creep up on a person before they know it. I just got in the habit of getting my NOS and taking my pills then grab a beer, then pop open my homepage and lemmy everyday. You made me take a look at myself and thought it was fucked up what I was doing. Almost like I needed your or someone's permission to be let loose. I would say it almost got to the point of an Obsession (really great movie check it out). But a break sounds nice. As weird as it sounds, thank you for the epiphany I really do mean it. I remember reddit doing like a pizza thing. I don't know where you live or what but would like to buy you a pizza and a couple sixer's. Anyway thank you again and you also have a nice rest of the summer.

Social media addiction is real and as much as we try to ignore it as the fediverse is not a corporate owned social media it still effects us.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world -2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Seriously? Not questioning you or anything thought it was a lifetime ban. Can you link where you saw that please.??? How come I can't even view it? I get the no voting, no posting, no commenting and such. But can't even have it in my feed?

I would like to say this sarcastically but no. To me joining a community or modding one. I think they do their due diligence before hand. And nothing against lemmy world but it has its weird parts sometimes. Like I get congrats on being a serial poster and just learned this a month ago that it attracts a lot of trolls (or whatever it is called nowadays). I was just really on a road to make this instance or whatever, the top of the google result questions. So that is why I post a lot. That is sad I know. I just want to have a space where none of that 4chan shit or Earn A Buck Per Post Reddit, doesn't exist. And I was so welcomed, I guess I got a little bit to carried away.

You should just make your own community called "onlystupidquestions"

[-] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 17 points 1 day ago

Be honest, that was extremely spammy. You filled my feed twice over with questions and TILs.

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 13 points 1 day ago

Low-quality ones at that. Really stretching the "there are no stupid questions" adage.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world -3 points 1 day ago

With that said if it was. How come the mod come back and say something? I do appologize for that but I took it as a go ahead when it wasn't answered. And what about at least a warning first. And like I said they are very very different questions. I mod !askhistorians@lemmy.world and got the position for being overly active. I didn't want to mod NSQ but did not know. Seriously I did not. But a ban without a msg at least telling me to quit it or it breaks the rules of the community than an automod just says spamming. I looked at the rule before I did it then asked again with no answer.

[-] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 2 points 1 day ago

Honestly I am.not sure about anything other than being like "Damn, Don is on one today". Let me be clear I don't think you deserve a ban. You've been around the block long enough for us to know you actually didnt mean any harm, but yeah my feed was filled.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

On a side note real quick love your background profile image. Don't know what it is of, but the colors and head come across very nicely...no sarcasm.

[-] treadful@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago

Imagine if someone just walked up to you and started talking stream of consciousness. They never shut up, and they followed you around for 12 hours. That's what your posts feel like.

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 7 points 1 day ago

Folks, I think we found the only user who is on the Tesseract blocklist for a good reason

[-] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

How long did you wait between asking a mod whatever it was before multi-posting?

This is lemmy. Mods don't really need to check things ten times a day, so most don't. Gotta stay laid back broham

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago
[-] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Damn, that's plenty of time to tell you to bugger off, if that was the goal

[-] ccunning@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Spam is a cross instance rule. A particular community doesn’t need to specify it as a rule.

[-] remon@ani.social 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

That might be part of your client, though. When I report a post there is only a single text field for "reason". But I agree that it's a basic unwritten rule or just etiquette.

[-] ccunning@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

I tried to find the report button in the web interface to see if it was the same, but failed.

It is a part of the instance Lemmy.world Terms of Service though:

5.1 Community Manipulation
Do not engage in content manipulation such as posting spam content, vote manipulation through using several user accounts or consistently down-voting a user. Vote for the content, not for the person.
You must also not vote on content posted by other accounts under your control, with the exception of bot accounts, which may receive at most one vote per submission from non-bot accounts under your control.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world -1 points 1 day ago

I followed that to a Tee. Did I manipulate content or post the same thing over and over? No. Did I try to vote manipulate? No. Am I a bot or at the very least know how to program one? no.

[-] ccunning@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Well I didn’t see what you did so all I have to go on is the one comment on your post that said you posted spam. And I don’t think “spam” is limited “the same thing over and over”.

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world -1 points 1 day ago

I posted the same amount of stuff on Video's, TIL, Tech, Askscience, and not banned. But the one I frequent kicks up a fuss. And on etiquette on the community or whatever, isn't that left open to the user reading it at some precodition point of view? I abided by all rules.

[-] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 3 points 1 day ago

Oh well, if google says its okay…

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)
