Use word? I’m sure your school has office-licenses for their students. Would be weird otherwise for them to have you use a docx template
You can’t just use free „Pages” from Mac AppStore directly from Apple?
What country are you from where the quotes are like that?

And then there’s French with « and »

If you want to use a program developed by Apple, try open the file with “Pages”. Otherwise use LibreOffice or the web version of Microsoft Word if you need a free service. Otherwise of course the desktop version of Microsoft Word
Also, a tip for the future: take screenshots with Command + Shift + 3.

In case they want to show only a section of the screen, yes. If it’s a single window, then Command + Shift + 4 + Spacebar is even better.
Look into the all magnets. It’s worth the three bucks for windows like snapping.
