What is canvas?

This is an event where you can place a pixel every 30 seconds onto a canvas everybody participating is placing things onto. We are creating a programming.dev design for the instance on the canvas and anybody who wants to organize something for programming.dev communities or other communities is free to do so!

How to participate?

You can log in using your programming.dev account to the site (it will ask for your handle and then send you a dm with a code to verify that you own the account). Anyone who wants to help out feel free to join in! You can use this thread or the discord/matrix to organize with others or you can organize in the community you want to make something for provided its allowed by the mods

I can also edit it to contain any programming.dev related designs if someone wants to organize something)

The main community for the event is at !canvas@toast.ooo

Post will be pinned in the instance for a bit to aid people with grouping up for the event as its only lasting for 48 hours!

Ready to get annihilated for this but it's a major turnoff that it's all just furry and brony art. Take a corner and leave the rest of the canvas for something actually good. The point of Canvas is ruined when 90% of people participating are clearly one community taking over the whole thing. Previous years had the same issue but this time it's even worse.

Be the change you want to see and instead make and encourage people to make non furry, non brony art instead of complaining that there is too much. 🩵

theres a bunch of other stuff that has been appearing. those two went up quickest though but they aren't a majority of the canvas (there are animals by some other groups like the Germany ones above p.d but they aren't furries)
