My neighbours kid, who has started driving, has taken to sitting in his car and beeping the horn for his mother to move her car (blocking him in) so he can leave. The kids kinda reserved so if I go out there and pop my top at him for using a car horn as an attention seeking deceive next to my fucking house, I think it'll go poorly for future neighbour relations. However if he keeps beeping his horn neighbour relations are going poorly anyway.

Someone needs to tell him. Doesn’t need to be a confrontation, just explain that’s it’s a disturbance to neighbours. Could chat to the Mum, but if he’s driving I assume he’s old enough to hear the feedback directly.

[-] bacon@aussie.zone 3 points 15 hours ago

Yeah, better for that to come from a calm neighbour than when he is out in a road rage incident

My new night club. I call it Disco Boudoir. Everything syncs to the music. I will be purchasing dual microphones to go with.

Alright, my one week of job provider retail course is complete. Least I get some sweet sweet workforce points for it.

Also spent the last of my energy spoons writing a lovely complaint email to the provider regarding the teachers attitude to the older students.

Now I rest.

I've had a crook back for 3 days now. I've been forced to medicate with booze. Cheers 🍻

[-] mertn22@aussie.zone 2 points 17 hours ago

Valium is a great muscle relaxant. Just one though if you are boozing.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 16 hours ago

I love valium. That's why I don't take it anymore. Lol.

[-] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 8 points 1 day ago

I have secured strawberry and cream eclairs from Brunetti 🧑‍🩰😊

[-] Eagle@aussie.zone 3 points 22 hours ago

[-] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 21 hours ago

[-] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 21 hours ago

That looks amazing, hope it tastes great!!

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

Secured?

Were they trying to leave the country or just out of control in general?

Well done comrade. Now return to base. Over.

[-] SituationCake@aussie.zone 4 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

Cancel that. Border force (pastry division) here. I declare the eclairs contraband and they should be delivered to my location for immediate inspection. Goods may not be returned.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 23 hours ago

Oops

Roger that over and out.

[-] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 3 points 23 hours ago

Lunch at a very generous panini place with the parents just to come back to the office for sudden donuts as thanks for getting through a busy week because of a new account secured.

I filled out the spreadsheet for that account so all the donuts should be going to me

[-] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 8 points 1 day ago

I'm the only one in the team in the office, and it looks like it will be a quiet day overall

[-] StudChud@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago

Lol our teacher is losing his fucking mind.

[-] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 19 hours ago

I had to do one online during covid. I only have a PC, no web cam. The teacher said that was okay. Everyone took that as a pass to turn their webcams off. It really unnerved the teacher.

[-] lowtheseal@aussie.zone 3 points 21 hours ago

Yo did I miss a life update?

[-] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 21 hours ago

Nope. Just a job provider short course in basic retail customer service lol

He's losing his head at the people in class who are older and tech illiterate honestly. Little patience for those who are a bit slower at following instructions. I get it, because it is simple stuff, but it's making the other students feel like their questions are stupid so they're afraid to ask him for help, so they're asking me (which is burning me the fuck out tbh looool).

Like, one older gentleman is just not getting it at all, and the teacher muttered "Jesus Christ" under his breath. Except it's a small room and we all heard him.

It's fucking hilarious. Like he's teaching unemployed people who are struggling, but it's very inaccessible to people who don't use computers.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago

The teacher is at fault.

He has given these classes before and knows the kinds of students he gets and their needs. He should be refering them to basic computer classes at the local library on the first day.

and 🤬at the teacher, I know for most these older people it's not innate inability it's extreme inexperience and nervousness. They think it's going to be really hard, they think they will make mistakes and "break" things. People like the teacher do not help.

I am reminded of Pauline at the Job Centre https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or6CwOyx30I

I have made things disappear many times. Recently it was speakers. I thought I was pretty clever pairing my phone to them until the man couldn't locate them on his phone. Turns out I'd wiped them from his phone to mine and relabelled them. 🤷‍♀️

I always get asked how I do stuff and I always reply with I don't know. I seriously need supervision.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 23 hours ago

You did nothing wrong in pairing the speakers. This is how it works. The removing of previous pairings is part of the process.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

I could've asked and he would've helped me set it up properly. He wasn't mad, more amused. I'm a little gung ho on the OK buttons.

[-] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

That's a vibe I feel in my soul. What did I just say ok to? I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually..m

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 21 hours ago

I "save" stuff all the time. "What did you save it in?" "I don't fucking know. You're good at this shit. Find it". Lol.
