I'm looking to do a bathroom remodel and am interested if anyone can recommend independent contractors in the area.

It's too easy to find those big companies that charge a lot and don't particularly care about their work. I'm more interested in the small operations. Who do you know?

Perdue Builders did a fantastic job on some windows for me, they weren't the cheapest but also not expensive. Did a quality job, no issues.

Reverse Uno, I'm trying to find someone to reseal my patios, if anyone knows locals willing to...

I've worked with Fernando Dingler with Northwest Property Development. He's done multiple small to medium projects for me and I'd be happy to call him up again for future work.

But bathrooms are a special thing. That work can be tricky, especially when it comes to needing perfection for things like finishes and tilework. We did a bathroom remodel a while back and got someone else (not Fernando) and it was a bit hairy. Next time I redo a bathroom, I'd look for a contractor that focuses primarily on bathrooms and has a reputation for good work in the field. They'll be spendy, but it's worth the care.

PS: Get a heated floor. Trust me.

There is one big name i trust to build things, charter.

Other than that, i typically prefer small minority owned businesses within a few miles of my house. Make sure your money doesn't leave your neighborhood, and the small business typically are beholden to market forces, meaning you'll get a fair price.

We had a good bathroom remodel with Frank & Sons construction in Tacoma. I'm not sure how big their service area is though.
