Need advice for connecting my PC to a router in next room (alien.top)

In one rooom I have one PC with a router next to it. It's connected via LAN. Then I have another PC in another room. The distance between a router and the 3nd pc (in a straight line) is about 6 meters. That room is on the adjacent wall. Up until now I've been using a Strong's AP300 wifi repeater but I get high oscillations in download speeds and ping. Other than directly connecting my 2nd PC to the router via LAN, are there any other solutions you would recommend? Below is a drawing of how my situation looks like. I would try to avoid connecting it via cable as then i would have to drill through multiple walls.

Running Ethernet is always the only answer.

obviously the best solution is to run an ethernet cable.

if one has coax cable already could use that with moca adapters.

also because its indoors and if there is a clear line of site, you could use p2p wireless bridge look at mikrotik wire, you could get close to 1gbs speeds.

Would a single pair be enough in my case?

Yes, if you only need to connect those 2 devices. You can always buy more units of the same brand and model and add them in later if you need and after you've tested with one pair if it works well.

Powerline is hit or miss.

Either it will work well, or it won't work well at all.

For folks that can't escape Powerline, I typically steer them to units that utilize the newer G.hn technology, such as the Zyxel PLA6456

If the room with the router and the room with your PC are on the same circuit breaker, you'll probably exceed 400Mb speeds.

I'd be way more prone to just drilling the 1/2" holes through the two walls just above baseboard level, and running a cable. No plug-and-pray, and no doubts about whether you're getting the best connectivity to your router.

Draw a diagonal line from router to pc and boom. That’s what you should do. Looks like you’re hitting the crawl space or attic.

I have powerline adapters and they do their job fairly well - children are not complaining while playing online games (as opposed to when they did over wifi). Bear in mind those adapters claim they support say 600 Mbps but then the ethernet socket will support only 100 Mbps as the 600 is related to the traffic between the adapters only. It works, ping is ok, for quick transfer of large files not really suitable.

You could try the Ethernet over power line adapters.

I've used them with varying success
