How upgrading full house once feels like with flush at level 16

Well, in reality it was more like a "dismembering ~~body~~planet parts by brute force" kind of situation followed by putting the dying remains just out of reach in orbit afterwards.

And all because Jupiter most likely didn't do its patrol-job properly.

So, I question the wholesomeness of the whole event, but welcome the final outcome 4 billion years later nonetheless ;-)

Yeah the scene should be more like Jupiter as a baseball pitcher throwing an astroid at the earth to "give" them a moon.

More like a hammer thrower...

To give a relevant quote by the great Douglas Adams:

"Many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans."

I wholeheartedly agree.

Who keeps giving mars robots?

That is almost definitely not what happened. Jupiter’s moons are composed of different material than our moon. Our moon was likely the result of another planet colliding with baby earth. The ejecta from that collision would have formed the moon.

So you are saying Jupitor didn't give earth a moon balloon? Damn. Next you are gonna tell me planets don't have arms and legs either.

I went to refresh my memory on the name of the proto-planet that may have whacked into us to make the moon, and then skimming the wiki, I got to learn the Earth may be full of huge chunks of shrapnel to this day from the impact. Very cool!
