I saw the final panel of the colored version was clipped. Then the post was gone.
Yeah sorry. I implemented some new logic to handle the automatic 1x4 -> 2x2 retiling, and it failed on that one ๐ข I haven't had time to fix it, so just removed it. I'll take a look soon at fixing it up.
Damn, that one seems to be completely missing over here. Hopefully it's just some 'critters in the system' so to speak?
Btw, in the last couple days I was fortunate enough to collect Schulz' complete "Li'l Folks" strips (published before Peanuts), as well as his experimental, non-published "Hagemeyer" strips featuring only grownups.
I'd need to do various kinds of editing work on all those to get them post-able, but was wondering if you think it would be a good idea to drip them in this community or not..? For example, that might be 1-2x per week, possibly.
That would be great! As an analog, I posted the pre-syndication Garfield strips in !garfield@lemmy.world a while back, people seemed to like it. I think communities like this are generally a good fit for "the work, or the author's other work, if it doesn't have a community itself".
By the by, Charlie Brown is sort-of in the public domain. The Li'l Folks strips were published without a copyright notice in an era where that was required to be considered under copyright. He's featured in there and says his name, though anything starting with the first syndicated strip is still copyrighted. His name is also trademarked so you can freely use it in creative works, but can't advertise with it or something. I'm not a lawyer so take that with a grain of salt, but here's more info:
