I feel like 97 for only 22 cycles is too much but I am not sure. Should I worry?

I use this laptop for very very basic university work and never push it.

I got it September this year.

I have 97% on 29 cycle count. I always plug it in. No need to worry about it and perfectly normal

    I have a refurbished m1 Mac air (16gb ram / 512gb ssd), 156 cycle count at max battery 96%

Your battery degradation is definitely not ok

It can also be the way you are using your battery. Are you fully discharging and charging it again that be a thing. Try keeping it between 30% and 80% I use AlDente for this . And also contact apple if it keeps going down fast.

I haven't let it go down to zero, the lowest it goes is 20% and I only charge it up to 100 if I am going out.

How should I contact them, I feel like they always say "you are fine since its not under 80"
