Pretty amazing for its time really. Even for today, to build a waterproof creature that big, and put it through its paces for moths on set. What a feat. Thanks for all your hard work, Bruce.

But it wasn't waterproof. It was constantly breaking down which ultimately led to the benefit of the audience not seeing the shark as often as Spielberg originally planned.

I've met Bruce! He was in a discovery museum when I was a kid, along with one of the stuntmen he "ate'. It was so cool for my sister and me, we were obsessed with Jaws movies when we were little.
