Used the band that came with it for awhile but got annoyed that it was scratching my laptop. Switched to a nylon band with an off center hook and loop buckle that has so far protected my laptop, but it looks like it’s giving me a bit of a rash after less than a week of use. I do wear my watch all the time, only taking it off to charge while I’m in the shower.

Sport Loop or Nike Sports Band.

Leather link bands are comfy, look nice, flat, and there's nothing to scratch

Used both Apple Watch and MacBook x years, never had a problem with scratching. Maybe you should post a pic so we can understand.

Look on Amazon for a gazillion straps that are as good or better than what Apple sells you for 20% of the price.

braided solo loop, ocean band (for context I’m a student and I’ve had no issues regarding the band making contact with the ocean band) just make sure to get a good size for the ocean one where the metal clips are on the other side of your wrist, away from you. if that makes sense

Any magnetic band. I personally have a Decoded rubber band. Very flat and neat.

Pitaka carbon fiber band. Three years going strong, never one rash.

Your post title sounded somewhat like a Huey Lewis and the News song.
