this is my first time hearing tom petty, this song sounds pretty good, ofc, this is a pretty old song iirc.. but it's still nice sounding, thought i might show it here if anyone's interested

It's making me feel really old that people on here are "discovering" Last Dance with Mary Jane.

That said, good on you for expanding your palette beyond whatever you normally listen to. There's a lot of great stuff out there!

A few years before Last Dance, but Runnin' Down a Dream is the first rock song---and maybe the first song of any genre---that I can remember. Dancing on the bed while playing air guitar to Tom Petty is baked into my core childhood memories!
