Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

It’s no secret that the relationship between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert has never been worse. The two U.S. representatives yelled at each other on and off the House floor. Greene recently called Boebert a “little bitch” to her face. And Boebert supported Greene’s removal from the Freedom Caucus.

"Good. Use your aggressive feelings, girls. Let the hate flow through you."

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 year ago (1 children)

they both sleeping with the same clan members?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Boebert is sleeping with Ted Cruz according to nontrustworthy folks online that I am repeating with no base to support. I don't think he is with the KKK.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Not directly, but he certainly thinks in the camp of “enemy of my enemy must be my friend”

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

There's no way Ted Cruz sleeps with women. That dude is gayer than gay wedding cake.

They are feuding because it's the only way both of them will stay in the news cycle. People like this will do literally anything to stay relevant, including acting like Mean Girls on the floor of Congress.

It's an epic rap beef between two no talent no-names for attention.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Haha, like Tory Lanez vs. Joyner Lucas.

These people are mentally stuck in junior high.

Sorry to bother but could anybody post the article contents for someone like me who'd like to avoid a further subscription to manage?

Thank you very much in advance!!

“I am friends with both of them. It’s entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any movement. I kind of dig that,” he continued.

Sheesh. Seems like even their friends are kinda shitty to everyone.

They have to hang out with people who are poor judges of character. No one else can stand to be around them.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Thank you so very much.

The article is not paywalled but it's not available to those who are not subscribed.

Much love <3

I've had a bunch of people say they can't read certain articles as well. Guessing it is Javascript issues which I disable for news sites.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I’m not having issues with this article, but occasionally daily beast articles will say that you need to subscribe to keep reading. I haven’t noticed a way to close out the dialogue and access the article, but “reader view” on iOS safari gets past it fine.

...I'm still not 100% sure Boebert and MTG aren't just one domestic terrorist with two different colored wigs.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Don't forget the glasses, Clark Kent affect.

~~worse~~ ~~better~~ dumber

Rapidly growing pet peeve of mine - the GOP bigwigs pretty consistently act like morons, cuz that's what their base finds relatable; but don't take the bait. These fuckers get away with causing SO MUCH damage to our country because we keep just giving them the village idiot pass. There's a kind of blundering innocence that comes with dismissing them as stupid. Better to assume that while they excel at acting the fool, their actions are calculated and deliberate. These fuckers are evil, not stupid.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's true of some. But it took Bobo four tries to get her GED. The stupid is real with her.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

That's true. I suppose it's more of a compartmentalization: she's fucking stupid when it comes to basic high school level information; but she's competent and relentless at damaging the US. The latter is the one I care about about - don't really give a shit about her academic struggles.

Don't focus on the stupid, focus on the domestic terrorism.

Sounds like we need a steel cage match between them, held at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. That way they can still feed, and their gills should keep them alive. Unfortunately.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

How bout a tag team of musk/mtg and zuck/bozo?

Still a cage match at the bottom of that Mariana Trench tho.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Whoa shit! They remade Dumb & Dumber again?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Good. Hope it gets even worse. Love seeing this snake eat it’s own tail.

When did everything become political? Masks and vaccines in a pandemic, climate change, magic the gathering, the list goes on and on.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

It was when Facebook stopped requiring a .edu email address.
