It's definitely possible, but it should be noted that the model run was yesterday making it 12 days out. Meteorologists call runs that far out "fantasy land" since so much can change.

The model run for today is a lot less impactful, showing upper 70's.

Also, my northwest is a conservative outlet.

I agree much can change from now until the middle of the month. I just saw this today after not keeping up on recent local news for a while.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the weather shouldn't be a political topic.

It definitely shouldn't be, but the right makes it a political issue. MyNorthwest has had climate change denier contributors and articles in the past, and it's come up on their conservative radio show as well.
