Some quiet (mostly), BG3 with my very bearded love, getting yelled at by a French girl when she comes inside for the night. It’s what most of my weekends are and I wouldn’t trade it. :)

my wife comes back after a week long holiday - we both can't wait to see each other again! on sunday we'll go to a museum that has space stuff and one of 3 remaining soviet Буран (buran) space shuttles ❤️

Mad jelly. I would fucking love to see a buran in person.

Hell, I’d be happy with a wife.

well, I'll be working on my car. It needs new brakes and rotors. I'm looking forward to my car not shaking when I slow down I guess. It beats being at the office though.

I have zero car abilities so I'm really impressed well done

Without doxing myself, there is a big food related expo/event my girl and I are going to. So that should be a blast. I also started my monthly week off yesterday and don't have that much work to do around the farm. So gonna try to get real deep on "tainted grail". 25ish hours in so far, gonna try and beat it.

Solid gaming I approve. How are you finding it so far?

[-] Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

It's darker (thematically and literally) than games I typically play. It reminds me a ton of Avowed but with a clearly smaller budget and better writing. I went full mage build and am level 37 playing on hard. The difficulty curve from zone one to zone two was shocking. I went from one shoting nearly everything to really struggling to stay alive. Its getting more manageable now though after I started specing into summoning on top of combat magic. I've never been a Fromsoft games guy partially because I dont like the idea of it being so hard but also because the world's are all so dreary looking. I've been surprised by how much I enjoy these dreary zones. I know there is a third zone at least and I'm hoping its a bit different.

God you're doing well getting through that on hard! Really glad you've got an achievement that's just good fun for you

Making okonomiyaki for some cat sitters, going to a friend's birthday boardgames, and seeing some friends I haven't seen in a bit.

The okonomiyaki went really well and I've improved both the savory crepe part and how to handle Just Egg ones for the vegans 😁

Hiroshima or Osaka style?

Osaka seems to be more common in my experience but Hiroshima is better IMO. The first time I tried it at a place in Hiroshima is still up there with one of the best meals I have ever had!

My wife coming home from six months deployed overseas.

[-] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 2 points 2 days ago

OMG!!! That's the best one on the post! What are you going to do?

[-] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Absolutely nothing. She's just had six months of people running her entire day for her. The last thing she needs right now is more plans and schedules. We're going to order take-out, play video games and hang out on the couch with the dog.

But I did get her a big gift bag full of fancy bath stuff. She doesn't really like spas, but I can at least give her a spa day at home.

[-] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 2 points 2 days ago

That sounds perfect. I hope you have a blast

There is an artist collective having an open day with music and events and another one at a garden collective. Also going to do a little planting of my own on the balcony and bring down the balcony furniture from the attic. Spring times are good times.

[-] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 1 points 2 days ago

That sounds like a really nice weekend! What planting are you going to do?

[-] whaleross@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Some different tomatoes and cucumbers, strawberries, wild strawberries and then some flowers for the bees and other flowers against the mosquitoes. Just a little cozy city balcony gardening.

Ayyyyy congrats! Almost at the finish line, you got this!

[-] osanna@lemmy.vg 1 points 2 days ago

yup. about 60% of the way through. It's a great book. Then I gotta spend a shitload of time deciding on the next book. It's a big choice.

[-] alt_xa_23@midwest.social 2 points 2 days ago

I'm going to finish tilling my garden and get everything planted.

My tomatoes desperately need to be moved outside, so it'll be good to get them in the ground
