Dead easy

Garlic, ginger, basic bitch curry powder. Iโ€™m just using Keenโ€™s, use any you like. Add onion or onion adjacent. I used a shallot because it was only one serve Sweat this/cook this down in butter, then add

Sweet potato (half of one to serve one) a handful of cherry tomatoes, a dinky little tin of chickpeas and a handful of spinach. Cook down over low heat, slowly.

Splash of full cream milk to finish it, as I didnโ€™t have cream or coconut

So the MIL never got her car serviced and now it's completely fucked. The dishwasher also isn't draining. You know damn sure I'm trying to get that dishwasher to drain because I don't want to have to get a new car AND a new dishwasher

Making a high quality curry indeed. Just did a taste test and I have NAILED IT

Hope you feel better soon. I love pho soup when Iโ€™m feeling sick, maybe you should skip cooking tomorrow too and get a takeaway!

Do you ever think there's more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

[-] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 7 points 2 days ago

Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident.

[-] StudChud@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

There was a moment last night, when she was sandwiched between the two Finnish dwarves and the Maori tribesmen, where I thought, "Wow, I could really spend the rest of my life with this woman".

Not really no.

[-] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Love this movie.

I think the operative word here is 'ridiculously'. I can't actually say based on personal experience. You?

[-] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

It's hard to put my experience into perspective... I've always been like this y'know?

[-] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Just watched the porridge competition The Golden Spurtle and had a great time, would recommend, truly exceptional

[-] SituationCake@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

Saw it mentioned the other day, have put it on my list. Sounds like wholesome fun.

[-] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago

Speaking of movies, I took receipt of this handsome edition of โ€œA Masterpiece in Disarrayโ€ an oral history of David Lynchโ€™s Dune movie. I think Iโ€™m one of a half dozen people that actually loves this movie.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

I too am one of the half dozen

Theres some consternation about the new blanket.

[-] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

Its because they're dog paw prints!

Now there is acceptance.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

ok, the movie with Dianna Ross? Saw it when it first came out

[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Hence my shock that you didn't seem to know it!

Shoulda started with Ease on down, ease on down the road...

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

I just finished watching The Last Jedi.

first. It's been 50 years since I watched the first Star Wars movie on first release at the cinema. As someone who grew up in a farming town, who aspired, who loved sci fi and the space program it really resonated and I loved it.

The Last Jedi. Just wow. This is like a real movie with 3d characters, a consistent world, a good plot, some real wisdom, beautiful cinematography and Adam Driver and Mark Hamill were amaze

like 5 hobbits out 4

I saw Rogue One at imax when it first came out and it didn't hit me the same

[-] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago
[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

such good writing of Kylo Ren and Luke characters , that's what made the movie

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I think I will spend the day watching LOTR and The Hobbit movies.

or maybe I should watch all the star wars movies

okely dokely, going upstairs to watch The Last Jedi

[-] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

One of my resolutions this year is to not rewatch any movie I have already seen. I have slipped once or twice, but for the most part itโ€™s been super enjoyable.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

some movies I study carefully

others are comfort

but I have never seen the last jedi

watching some of return of the jedi, damn , i know it's a kid's movie but compared to The Mandalorian it's just not good in any way

I was looking at some random streetview addresses today and have a serious question.

Who put a pole there?

[-] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Must be the work experience town planner.

[-] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Must be the same company that made the Corner Hotel

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

A genius who knew someday that's gonna be used as a wicket by the kids in the street.

[-] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

That would be a good option. Especially as it probably dates back to the days before everyone was issued a wheelie bin.

[-] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

I reckon the pole was there first then they put a suburb there.

[-] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

I've had a look at a few other courts in the area - all of them have a pole in the same spot. It appears to be a deliberate design choice.

Blended!

HAWT. less than 1/8tsp hurt.

Happy that's done. Nice clean ferment. pH about 3.9 so in the safety zone. 1 more big one to go in melbs then to find some little bottles for it.

[-] Catfish@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

Ooooh. Tingly! You may find Asian crazy crap/$2 shop better than others for this.

Looking at floss on Kmart site, see a pet toothpaste that claims to contain fluoride. Isnโ€™t that dangerous? Turns out yes, yes it is. The more you know. https://www.hillspet.com.au/pet-care/routine-care/dog-and-cat-toothpaste-and-toothbrushes
