I get the same in browser on desktop. Most don't load or take ages. Don't have the same issue in eternity though. Odd.
Can you try loading the web ui from a private tab? If it's speedy there, then you can clear your site data for feddit.uk (you'll need to log back in) and that should sort it out (the web ui has issues clearing old data).
I've ditched Jerboa for Summit. Way nicer.

On the site, they’re taking ages to load
Lemmy-ui does that if you've been logged in for a while sometimes. Try clearing your browser cache/data for feddit.uk.
and may not be thumbnails
We don't store thumbnails, what you're seeing are croppings of the full sized images. Most images you'll see here aren't very big though, so this shouldn't be an issue unless your connection is really slow.
