Oh, it was in there, that's what was taking so long. Finally, it got yanked, an obviously bloody chunk, and now their saying "What, that? That's nothing. Tis but a scratch."

The DNC is going to have to wean itself off Israeli money the way the MAGAs have to wean off of Russian money. And Israeli money.

Article doesn't load :(

[-] Resonosity@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 9 hours ago

Yeah the DNC needs to be gutted. Exile the careerists, corporatists, establishment shills. Get em all out.

[-] flandish@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

baffled? come on now.

[-] DandomRude@lemmy.world 46 points 16 hours ago

This doesn't baffle anyone at all. On the contrary. It was entirely to be expected, given all the AIPAC money Israel uses to bribe politicians.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 21 points 15 hours ago

And that was the pink, glowing elephant in the room. They simply don't want to admit what made them fail, as any fix to that would cost them AIPAC money.

[-] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 13 points 14 hours ago

Im going to assume the DNC does not consider Gaza a loss vector because the DNC had the same attitude towards Gaza as the opponents.

If so it would reveal a good bit about how flawed their entire approach is.

It would not be about principles or absolute stands, but just about having better optics and taking populist relative positions on any topics of the day.

That would be incredibly dumb considering the dems vote share increases with more turnout not from people switching sides. Seems they would rather lose with Isreal then win without them.

[-] WraithGear@lemmy.world 14 points 14 hours ago

wtf do you mean “baffled”? who is going to claim ignorance with this?!

Actually, a lot of us are.

We thought that they were withholding the autopsy because it contained uncomfortable deep cuts about the mistakes that the Democrats made, things that they didn't want to think about or correct.

Turns out they were actually withholding it because the autopsy is pathetic. We knew the DNC was incompetent but this goes beyond our expectations.

"We did nothing wrong. The voters were wrong!"

Not loading for me :( What does he say?

[-] FaceDeer@fedia.io 5 points 15 hours ago

Huh, I remember reading that Imgur was geoblocked in some parts of the world now because it doesn't require proof of age, maybe that's the problem.

It's just the Am I So Out of Touch? Meme.

Just the stuff that's in there is shocking, how the fuck are they this incompetent at running a campaign?

The writer isn't great, their conclusion on why they lost in 2016 was that Hillary didn't win the primary quickly enough, but even they can see "polling to see what your voters want and then doing what your potential voters are telling you to do" is basic campaigning.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 9 hours ago

Hillary didn't win the primary quickly enough

Translation from Shitlib to English: Bernie didn't submit to the dictates of the party leadership quickly enough.

even they can see "polling to see what your voters want and then doing what your potential voters are telling you to do" is basic campaigning.

Except they still refuse to ACT on that knowledge, opting in stead to do the bidding of their owner donors (including AIPAC) and whatever Schumer imagines the clearly Republican Baileys would want.

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 2 points 9 hours ago

Except they still refuse to ACT on that knowledge

They could at least lie to the voters, tell us you'll do free heathcare/college, throw Trump in prison, and stop giving Israel weapons/money.

[-] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 18 points 16 hours ago

They're not incompetent (well they're that too, but not just incompetent); they're also controlled opposition. What you see here is their job.

[-] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 13 points 16 hours ago

Look they are just worried that if they speak the truth then they are going have their snouts removed from that sweet Israeli cash trough. They got a nice grift going and they don't want to lose it.

I have no idea how western countries are going extricate themselves from this nonsense given all politicians seem to be bound by it. I'm in Australia and we literally implemented anti-semitism laws that are almost exclusively used to silence anti-Israel stances in the public discourse.

At this point it's more reasonable to consider all Israelis war criminals unless they can prove otherwise, just like they seem to be doing to Iranians. Will our government apply the same rules on Israel as it does to Iranians? Doubtful.

[-] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago

No. As a politician you promise what your voters want, and do what your bankrollers tell you to do.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 9 hours ago

They're not even doing the first part anymore, though..

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 8 points 14 hours ago

The campaign decreased polling because they had no intention of even promising what the voters want.

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 9 points 14 hours ago

Idiot DNC trying to dodge the cause of the loss at all. They have learned nothing and are clearly still being paid to lie. I dont know how we can move forward to win with such a useless and corrupted party.

[-] discocactus@lemmy.world 7 points 16 hours ago

The whole thing is just AI slop. It's garbage. They're clueless at best.

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 4 points 15 hours ago

Are there any signs its AI?

It's written by a politician so there's no way its intelligent at all imo

[-] Ozzy@piefeed.com -3 points 17 hours ago

Does it mention the July assassination attempt?
I read a cnn brief but it wasnt mentioned there.
It was a major event during the campaign?

[-] isleepinahammock@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 15 hours ago

Why would that show up in a post-mortem assessment of Democratic campaign strategy?

[-] OwOarchist@pawb.social 5 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Strategy flaw found: poor aim. Marksmanship training recommended.
