I'm considering Proton. Do you have any other suggestions for posterity?

[-] lastweakness@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Encrypted: Proton, Tuta, MailBox.org

Unencrypted: KagiMail (in beta i think), FastMail, Migadu, Purelymail

Out of these, Kagi and Purelymail are US-based. FastMail is from Australia. Proton and Migadu are swiss. Tuta and Mailbox are German.

I've also heard good things about Infomaniak but I can't use them since I'm not in a supported region.

Proton and FastMail are the two I like.

It’s either activating that option or risking jail time when the bots flag you for trial

As I was preparing my foreign language tests, I gave chatGPT a rubric of how a composition would be evaluated and I uploaded compositions so it would correct grammar, etc. It seized the opportunity to criticise my ideas but I stopped it.

It's been a while since I read it, he definitely makes some interesting points but he kind of rejects collective change which I find depressing.

How stupid do they think we are

[-] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

It's not how stupid you are. It's the amount of effort you're willing to put in to stop them. They count on it not being enough, and they incentivize you to spend your time elsewhere at every opportunity.
