Trump quite seriously believes this "treasonous" business.

In his broken delusional narcissist mind, he is essentially the God Emperor of the US - a divine manifestation of the will of the nation - so to defy him is to defy the divine will of the nation itself, and therefore "treasonous."

In future historical accounts, the word most commonly associated with Trump, and this era in history, is going to be "insane."
