Guessing it helped that it's not a Switch 2 exclusive.

I mean duh, a game sells better when it‘s released on more platforms but I was shocked when I read the Switch 2 sold nearly 20 million units already. It has a better run than the Switch 1 in it‘s first year. People are buying it like sliced bread and the price increase makes total sense.

Funny thing though the average Switch 2 owner only bought 2 1/2 games for the console and many retailers are putting heavy discounts on them. The Switch 2 is a triumph for Nintendo but a net loss of retailers if we go by the current numbers.

All that being said it horrifies me what Nintendo will learn from all this. Their fans who spend so much money so carelessly on hardware are ruining the company for me. It will rain rereleases, remasters and remakes on the platform and I couldn‘t care less about any of those. Nintendo is at their best when they innovate but they don‘t have any reason to atm.

People were happy to pay scalpers double the retail price for a Switch 1 so of course Nintendo wouldn’t leave money on the table to the scalpers this time around. And the fomo fans proved them right.

Is the game different on Switch 2 or is it the exact same game? I've been holding off on getting it for the original Switch because I wasn't sure if I was going to miss out on better performance, customisation options, online features or whatnot.

I've been seeing clips of it online, and it seems genuinely hard to replicate the kind of confident, bizarro humor applied with so many of its scenes. Especially helps with how many of the "concepts" players can insert to get muddled around in conversation so many ways.

I'm reminded that we often only see "shounen anime" as the main art style of Japan, but they're very refined at a wide variety of strange, human and less-human appearances.

I’ve been playing this, but I can’t help but feel it feels like it has less content than the first one. It’s made some good steps forward for the franchise but in other respects I feel like it went backwards. No concert hall, I think there’s just less dreams, the couple forecast, quirky questions, and so many other things too are just gone. And I’ve seen the ant cutscene nearly 20 times now. I just wish there was a bit more to see

Another complaint is it feels a lot less dramatic than the first one. All my fights get resolved easily and everyone gets along. I feel like the game is almost afraid to tell me no.

I still really like the game, but I do hope it gets some content updates to at least address my first complaint. The second I think is subjective to me though.

These sound very similar to the problems I have with ACNH
