I understand that you require an iPhone to set up the watch, but after that point can't it be used by itself if it's cellular? I'm not really worried about any specific connection or features with the phone, I just want to know what I'll be limited to.

Also, after setup can the information that the watch records be seen on other Apple products that aren't phones for example an iPad or iMac?

If you want an Apple Watch , get an iPhone , if not then get an android watch

Don't get an Apple watch. Use common sense dude.
