No shit he's "fighting" and grabbing the dog, a fucking dog attacked him. Try not escalating next time.

[-] GirthBrooksPLO@lemmy.world 9 points 22 hours ago

How dare he not hold perfectly still while a rabid animal sinks its teeth into his leg.

[-] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

How dare he not let himself be mauled. I can't believe he grabbed that dog by the teeth with his leg meat.

(Edit:not directed at OP, in case that's not clear)

Firstly, ACAB including police dogs, that was unnecessary

Second, I love how he bit the dog back

[-] MnemonicBump@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

That dog is a victim of abuse. The dog didn't choose to be a cop. ACAB only works because being a cop is a thing you choose to do, and the majority of cops are reprehensible pieces of shit, and the rest do nothing about it, therefore ALL cops are bastards. Police dogs need rescuing, not the wall.

[-] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 1 points 22 hours ago

Nah man, even Nazi dogs went to heaven. A dog doesn't have the capacity to be evil, they are just handled by evil people.

[-] sartalon@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

This is fucking disgusting.

Two points: He was not "restrained", however they were trying to restrain him. There is no need to exaggerate the language in this clear abuse of a victim.

That dog handler should lose his job and be tried for assault, those cops should lose their fucking jobs. The dog and the man should become best friends and travel the world sniffing out dirty cops, AKA cops.

Hey there, it's Netflix! We have 20 million dollars here for you to turn this into 8 45 minute episodes, the pilot shouldn't focus too much on the backstory maybe the first 15 minutes then jump right into the action. Season 2 they can go to Mexico to track down a cop that was charged but fled, and season 3 should be in Eastern Europe.

[-] sartalon@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

The Eastern European sequel, the dog is taken and the man has leaned enough skills over the last two seasons to get him back.

If there is a fourth season, the man is taken and the dog gets him back.

This is why people laugh when white people insist ice is the first fascism in a long time. Fascism is an American idea and it's been here from the jump.

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 8 points 23 hours ago

Who says that? What sort of “hot take” is this?

Anyone who isn’t a racist and has any sense of history is gonna know fascism has been around for a long time. From wholesale killing of Native Americans to bombing of Black Wall Street to the Bonus Riots and the Kent State Shootings, yeah…fascists have been everywhere. They just wore different hats at different times. They’re still the same kind of people though.

Main video "URL is blacklisted", alternative link "removed for violating TOS"

I'm starting to think that somebody doesn't want us to see how horrible the cops are.

Hoh boyyyyyyyy, it’s reeeeeeaally hard to not make a call to action. Can I at least wish cancer upon them all? Whichever is the most aggressive and painful?

Weird how both the imgur and streamable videos on this specific post got removed (though the embedded imgur video still works). Wonder if someone manually reported them or if AI is scanning to delete it

Here is a mirror ~~\https://i.imgur.com/ZItPCuT.mp4/~~

Edit: mirror got deleted too, another streamable? https://streamable.com/w5w34x

THE POLICE PROBLEM

5065 readers
235 users here now

The police problem is that police are policed by the police. Cops are accountable only to other cops, which is no accountability at all.

99.9999% of police brutality, corruption, and misconduct is never investigated, never punished, never makes the news, so it's not on this page.

When cops are caught breaking the law, they're investigated by other cops. Details are kept quiet, the officers' names are withheld from public knowledge, and what info is eventually released is only what police choose to release — often nothing at all.

When police are fired — which is all too rare — they leave with 'law enforcement experience' and can easily find work in another police department nearby. It's called "Wandering Cops."

When police testify under oath, they lie so frequently that cops themselves have a joking term for it: "testilying." Yet it's almost unheard of for police to be punished or prosecuted for perjury.

Cops can and do get away with lawlessness, because cops protect other cops. If they don't, they aren't cops for long.

The legal doctrine of "qualified immunity" renders police officers invulnerable to lawsuits for almost anything they do. In practice, getting past 'qualified immunity' is so unlikely, it makes headlines when it happens.

All this is a path to a police state.

In a free society, police must always be under serious and skeptical public oversight, with non-cops and non-cronies in charge, issuing genuine punishment when warranted.

Police who break the law must be prosecuted like anyone else, promptly fired if guilty, and barred from ever working in law-enforcement again.

    That's the solution.

Our definition of ‘cops’ is broad, and includes prison guards, probation officers, shitty DAs and judges, etc — anyone who has the authority to fuck over people’s lives, with minimal or no oversight.

RULES

Real-life decorum is expected. Please don't say things only a child or a jackass would say in person.

If you're here to support the police, you're trolling. Please exercise your right to remain silent.

Saying ~~cops~~ ANYONE should be killed lowers the IQ in any conversation. They're about killing people; we're not.

Please don't dox or post calls for harassment, vigilantism, tar & feather attacks, etc.

Please also abide by the instance rules.

It you've been banned but don't know why, check the moderator's log. If you feel you didn't deserve it, hey, I'm new at this and maybe you're right. Send a cordial PM, for a second chance.
