I just love that site. What a cool activity and website to do.

Not the person you replied to, but thanks all the same!

Fun little thing to teach my kids to do, too

[-] FosterMolasses@leminal.space 2 points 5 days ago

That Winter Woodland Chandelier is so sick haha

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 15 points 6 days ago

As a very witchy dude, what makes you non witchy? You're here, that indicates some kind of spirit of rebellion and that's like half of it

[-] halloejsovs@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

I have a quite logical approach to supernatural themes, and I was browsing "All".

[-] Soggy@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

what makes you non witchy?

An extreme dislike of spirituality, magical thinking, and all other forms of anti-science/intellectualism.

Aside from the spirituality part I think you misunderstand what modern witchcraft means. I'm really not the best person to explain it, what being two joints deep and trying to fall asleep. For me it's mostly an excuse to mark the seasons, sing songs, pick flowers, and cook food for my friends.

[-] Soggy@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

You don't need to be attached to a subculture that encourages astrology and crystal healing for that.

[-] FosterMolasses@leminal.space 6 points 5 days ago

Sir, this is Witchy Memes. You don't need to vent about your ex in the comments lol

It seems like you guys are always the ones bringing up crystals when anyone mentions something remotely pagan. If you don't like it, don't engage. Couldn't be simpler.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

I know! That's what makes it fun.

After working with schizophrenia patients for a few years, I can genuinely say that there’s a good chance that’s the case with her. Thinking ordinary things are the devil, hyper-religiosity, and magical thinking are big signs.

[-] conartistpanda@lemmy.world 18 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

So, huh... What percentage of people on a country suffer from this on average?

[-] Horsey@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago

1% of all people. The patients at the facility were extremely diverse across every demographic you can think of.

[-] khaleer@sopuli.xyz 11 points 6 days ago

That could be it. Or she is religious.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

That's my bil. It probably would be me too if I hadn't learned to make fun of myself

Do the same? Think that small wreaths are signs of witchcraft? Nah, I won't.

There are literally dozens of us here, DOZENS!!

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago

Oh what mischievous fun.

[-] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 13 points 6 days ago

Ah, freedom of religion (as long as you're some form of christian). Ain't that america?

[-] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago

If you count Mormons as a form of Christian then Islam should get a pass as well.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

My religion recognizes Jesus as a type of cracker we're Christian too

Double stuf lot 407912A or double stuf lot 407912B?

[-] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Yes! At Chunk's Discount House o' Worship, we are deeply ecumenical and heartily welcome our brethren and sistren of the Double Stuf. All aboard!

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Heretic! Only those holy lot A will partake of the sacred tree of elven keebl!

[-] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Lo, by this sign of rebuke and stern exclusion I know you are of the true faith. Behold the partakers of holy lot A, for they are about to crusade our asses again. Grab the keg, Zebedee! Let us depart this place and find the land of promise, where all crackers are equal.

[-] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 6 days ago

I don't think christians consider mormons to be christian. They're non-trinitarian if I'm not mistaken, and that's a doctrinal disqualification by definition for most ecumenical traditions.

[-] OpenStars@piefed.social 1 points 5 days ago

Correct: Mormons consider themselves as Christian while mainstream Christianity considers Mormonism a cult.

Of course so many divisions are like that - Catholicism considers Protestant denominations as not valid, and vice versa, etc.

[-] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

"No, my interpretation of scripture and tradition is the only one that's valid; and the God of all the Universe who existed before time, language, and culture is going to be verrryy angry at anyone who doesn't unquestioningly believe and obey everything that I say that God says!"

-Most Christian denominations, and most Abrahamic religions, for that matter.

If only one can be right, you might as well hedge your bets with Eastern Orthodox because they're closest to the original. They also tend to be a bit more enlightened about multiculturalism, tolerance, and love for humanity.

Me, though, I'm a nihilist. I believe in nothing, lebowski

As someone who was raised Mormon, the trinity was very much a thing. They don't call it the trinity, but god the father, Jesus the son and the holy spirit were all big in that cult.

Is this the same guy who runs the Retro Video Game blog? I like his stuff.
