I see someone just watched a Tom Scott video. You should get nebula! Could see it a week early ๐Ÿ˜„

I've been looking at Nebula (other creator ๐Ÿ™‚). Have you found it worthwhile? I've never used a streaming service but it seems like the best way to support these folks. Like Bandcamp, but better.

Itโ€™s so cheap that paying for it for a single show (jet lag) is easily worth it. We watch only a few things on there but theyโ€™ve all been good and very high quality. And no ads (or sponsored content bullshit) is awesome.

I like a couple of channels that do have YouTube equivalents. For me it's enough to support those channels directly, without YouTube taking a share.

Tom Scott, practical engineering, Lindsay Ellis and the legal eagle together alone make it with it for me.

There's not the unending late night binging for niche interests that you get with YouTube, but I can peruse those with my trusty ublock

That my first thought lol. I have never encountered the word Moulage prior to watching the video an hour ago.

The "We have a Sophie" is probably my fav segment.

This is used on me/other participants in a periodic medical certification I have to do. It really helps with training, but can be challenging if forgotten before going out to eat after a day of class...

My goodness! I would would have loved to be in the room, known about it and be able to watch people's expressions while this played out! XD

๐Ÿ˜… it's really not that enjoyable... Think about a cold weather situation. I have a woolen hat on, near some wet rocks, and you find me face down on the rocks. I am becoming to be responsive, so you talk to me and treat me as a patient. You learn I was walking and fell forward. You assess me, and find, underneath my hat, a large bruise. Possible head injury.

This would lead, in the certification setting, to many things, but ultimately the moulage may not get cleaned off before another scenario.

After class, we go to a bar. The bar tender sees this very prominent "bruise" and has, at the very least, questions.

Instructors for these courses are generally intentional about removing moulage but sometimes...

Moulage Rouge!

Moulage Rouge! is a 2001 macabre horror movie that follows an EMT trainee, Christian, who falls in love with the star of the Moulage Rouge, cabaret actress, courtesan, and faux-injury sporting Satine.
