Woop Woop. Tis upon us again, the blessed day that begins with the letter F. And a long weekend too.......oh bugger. Oh well we'll do the next one then.

I have an adventuresome afternoon ahead of me. I'm picking up a shed that's flat packed from Stratco in Ormeau at about noon. Big enough thing when built, 10 metres by 5.75. $16,000 five years interest free. I might end up living in it which wasn't the plan when I ordered it. I initially got it for my first block that I paid for with my super. Since then I got a mortgage for a different block with stunning views across back to the mainland. So yeah everything changed and I now have a mortgage.

Anyway then I drive back to Redland Bay in the flatbed small truck ( Budget, $200 for 24 hours which is damn decent ) Then just over an hour barge journey, then at my block a Manitou ( Telehandler ) will be lifting it off the truck. The shed weighs about 1800 kgs. Not something I'd like to handball.

A memorable day for sure. Enjoy yours lovely people.

Yeah that’s a day and a half.

You building that shed yourself? That’s about twice the length of the one I have.

Rain today too apparently, well starting from today.

I was about four hours at the loading dock. They couldn't find some stuff, like the roller door.....oh well apparently they deliver to site. Cough and LOL. I live on Russell Island so today has been a case of logistics. They phoned me up to ask if I could postpone it till another day. I was literally signing for the hire truck and of course said no.

Getting in the barge with a departure at 4:05. And yeah got quite wet loading up, such fun.

Take plenty of photos - good to look back and remember how suck it was to transport and build when you're relaxing in your comfy chair in the finished product.

Hope its in Colorbond(tm) so you can stand out the front and admire it like old mate from that ad back in the day:

I have a heap of yard and keep having flashes of inspiration to build raised garden beds to plant stuff in... except then I remember I hate gardening, and dont like vegetables :-\

Have you ever looked in to aquaponics? I have fish tanks and always thought setting them up as an aquaponics type deal would be cool - filtration + free food! - but I'm not actually sure how safe it is to eat products grown in poop from decorative fish.

No, I haven’t.

I need to get some other greens in the ground, but I still need to get beds sorted. I’ve just sifted out a bin full of soil for some sweet potato which I’ll sort this weekend.

This yard used to be part of a dairy farm so the existing soil is pretty good. The back corner has earthworms everywhere

Had a mont blanc down at https://janusdeli.com/ at Slacks Creek

Pretty fancy!

Generally, the Mont Blanc starts with a cold-brew coffee base that’s then swathed in a layer of cold cream and dusted with nutmeg and citrus (usually orange) zest.

I'm glad I read this because I assume I would have tried to mix it:

There’s a trick to it. Sip it straight, don’t stir it. Your instincts will tell you to mix the cream into the coffee. Resist.

Sun Devil’s resident cowboy coffee expert, Boyce, says: “No stirring allowed. Sip it like Guinness in long, slow sips.”

This style of coffee is designed to start with a sweet hit of cream, followed by the coffee (to keep flavours balanced).

Not stirring a Mont Blanc means keeping its snow-capped mountain effect intact, and ensures that you get an aromatic hit of the nutmeg and orange zest garnish each time you lift the cup toward you.

and yep, it sure tasted good that's for sure :)
