The EU is waking up to an energy crisis and asking people to reduce energy consumption ... The European Commission is calling on its 400-million plus citizens to fly and drive less, work from home and do their bit to conserve energy, with the Iran war now in its second month.

Is it? Still have to receive word about this...

Only thing I'm seeing is how many more billions will be dumped into heavy industry to keep their energy costs down.

The thing is, we need heavy industry locally. Moving it to China was a massive mistake. Obviously it will be cheaper if both labor and environment have little value there.

Top irony is watching a journalist whining about how this “makes us dependent on China” because they sell infrastructure for renewables, as if it was not plainly our fault for having failed to, and obstinately continue to refuse investing in it, despite it being an obvious way to go for Europe.
