I had a 12 Pro Max before and switched to the 15 Pro now. I really like the smaller size. The 12 Pro Max was just too big.

I really love the Dynamic Island. It has such a great integration in iOS. They really did make a (kinda) problem to a fantastic feature. Also finally USB-C!!! And the pictures this phone takes, it‘s just so good. I didn‘t think I would see such a big improvement since my 12 Pro also did take really good pictures, bit this is really next level.

I don‘t really have anything that I don‘t like. It works really well.

Let me hear your opinions.

Love the usb c! That’s the ONLY reason I upgraded and if it hadn’t come with it this year then I still would have had my old phone and keep using it until it had usb c! Now all my portable devices have usb c and nothing with lightening!! Also bought AirPods Pro with usb c when I got my new phone because my 4yo regular AirPods were starting to die on me.

One thing I hate is the camera focusing/ unfocusing constantly when I wanna take a picture of something that’s under a meter distance away from me.

I dislike the lack of a sim slot but other than that, I love it. Best phone that I’ve owned so far.

I hate that I have to bring a cable whenever I go out with family (or not taking my car) since they’re all still on Lightning. Other than that, no problems here!

The only things I don't like are the keyboard and the annoying focus modes. I just can't find a way to quickly toggle between no notification sounds and no vibrations and no notifications sounds and vibrations, it's a basic under android...

Everything else is awesome and I enjoy it a lot more than my Oneplus 8 Pro I had before. Third-party password managers integrate well and the iCloud integration is a game changer

Love the phone. Hate the price 🥴

I like how light the 15 pro feels relative to the 14 pro. It’s subtle but definitely noticeable.

I love everything pretty much but i do hate the battery. Can’t believe the battery on the regular pro isn’t much better than the iPhone 11 i had before it 🙄

I upgraded from the 12PM - a great phone and I got £395 from Apple. The 15PM is ok, but the main camera (x1) is terrible. Shots are blurry. I use my phone to copy a lot of documents - the text is poorly focused, with a grey ghost. In the centre it’s ok, but the edges (especially the left hand side on my phone) are terrible. So much worse than the 12. There are various threads on Reddit etc discussing it. Some say it’s a hardware issue, others say it’s a software issue. No one seems to have found a definite solution - some have gone to an Apple Store to be told there isn’t a problem. One person said a DFU restore resolved the problem- I just don’t have the heart to go through that atm. I did a full reset and have already gone through the tedium of setting the phone up again. And I don’t have my 12PM to make the setup fairly painless.

So far the 15 Pro has been absolutely perfect.

The last 3 things that bothered me pre 15 pro was the slow USB 2.0, the super sharp corners and the heaviness.

All 3 of those were fixed with the 15 Pro and I no longer have any major issues going forward.

I’m a new iPhone user. I like that the phone just works without any bugs. I joined up a few apple subreddits to learn a little bit more about the phone, and I think I hate most of the community acting like it’s so much better than the pixel or galaxy.

It’s not better, but different, and Apple products work really well together. Most people like Apple for the software experience, but the hardware is definitely not world leading!

I would actually say the hardware is top notch. The processors are faster than any Android phone. The displays are very nice, case materials are great. The camera system is fantastic, but this is an annual race with Android phones.

Coming from a 13 Pro.

I love the Dynamic Island and am on the fence about the action button.

I hate that my phone gets very hot most of the time and the battery life doesn’t seem as good as the 13 Pro. I’ve spoken to apple about the heat. They said it was normal. This morning I was playing music through the phone for less than 10 minutes. It was very hot after.

I bought it specifically for the RAM, I was tired of my old phone refreshing as I multitask.

The action button is getting much less use than I thought. I even have a special Shortcut I downloaded from someone on reddit giving me a plethora of options, but I haven't made a big habit of actually pressing the button yet.

Yes! I found it again here: https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/s/3dgV013WXv The shortcut link is at the bottom of the post. You will have to download another app called Actions to unlock the shortcut feature. It’s pretty easy!

Coming from an iPhone 8+ I deeply miss 3D Touch. Hate that they removed it. I love the all screen display though.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Bought it for development in a cross platform framework . I love using my iPhone for gaming. I absolutely hate programming under strict IOS rules(Bluetooth low energy is highly limited, I am forced to pay a yearly subscription just to test NFC ) .

Apple has incredible software but is abusing their position in a toxic way on so many layers. I will definitely not buy another iPhone again for a while.

Galaxy note 10 plus to 15 pro max, like most features so far. The only things i don't like are that its harder to customize and the lack of ability to vertically scroll all apps alphabetically vs multiple screens of random apps.

Love the high refresh rate display, makes my old 13 look feel sluggish even though it’s perfectly fine performance wise.

I have a minor grip with the camera though. When I’m taking a 5x picture of something not too far away, the camera app with automatically switch to the telephoto lens with no way to manually set it to the 5x lens again. I was taking a picture of an orchid in our balcony that grew quite a lengths away and was apparently around the distance threshold for the automatic switching, as some shots managed to be taken by the 5x lens and they looked great, but most of the shots were in the telephoto lens and was way worse.

Also the lens switching when zooming in or out during a video isn’t as smooth as most reviewers made it out to be. The lens switch is still very noticeable.

Snapdragon x70, even though I have 5g set to on, it seems to drop me down to LTE when I’m inside and I’m having a fantastic internet performance.

Im really happy with my new iPhone, all i dont like is that some Apps arent optimized for the 15 Pro yet. Such as Tapped out, the corners are cut of from the edges.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Using the action button for camera & video is excellent

Screen refresh rate. Coming from normal iPhone 11 it’s night and day. Could never go back. Sucked me in the fu***ers

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Yes agree with you on this one!! It‘s just so much smoother, i love it

iPhone XS to 15 Pro and although it feels a fair bit thicker, I like how Apple put some thought into making the 15 pro lighter than the previous pro phones.

Usb-c all the things! On a mission to make all of my gadgets charge through/transfer data through usb type C and this change taken me 1 step closer.

I had wireless charging on my XS but the introduction of MagSafe is a welcome upgrade.

Macro mode helps me read QR codes quicker without the need to re-focus.
