Rounding up random brown people, including American citizens and sending them overseas to prison camps?

That's fine.

Raping children for decades?

Perfectly cool.

Cringey blasphemy?

HE CROSSED THE LINE

The mental illness will continue until the empire collapses.

[-] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 19 points 1 month ago

True product of America imo

[-] ImgurRefugee114@reddthat.com 34 points 1 month ago

It's not even the first blasphemy... There's been so much talk and memes from evangelicals basically making him out to be a messiah and he's totally embraced it over and over again.

it wasn't the pedophilia, the raping, the fraud, the tens of thousands of lies, the pornstar hush money, "grab'em by the pussy," "suckers and losers," the support for genocide and pointless bullshit iran war--no, it was the ai jesus pic that pushed them over the edge...

[-] BeardededSquidward@lemmy.blahaj.zone 117 points 1 month ago

Nothing gets fake Christians upset than someone out fake Christianing them.

[-] gh0stb4tz@lemmy.world 36 points 1 month ago

Gloriously accurate statement.

[-] Vinylraupe@lemmy.zip 23 points 1 month ago

Life is full of miracles.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago

Which isn't even really new information. He's compared himself to Jesus multiple times and blasphemed publicly a few times that I'm aware of.

This isn't the first one made of him. So it took a few to push people over.

A reminder that it isn't Trump, but the ones who support him that are the problem, and there are so many of them. And even they are also just a symptom of a deeper illness. A self-perpetuating one.

Flood the airwaves with it as if it were the original. No one will check anyway.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 17 points 1 month ago

That's what propaganda is all about. MAGA has the Conservative Propaganda Machine, and it is mature and effective, and the Dems have nothing to counter it. Doing stuff like this is about all we have at the moment.

This is outrageous blasphemy!

So if he ran again, you wouldn't vote for him?

Who's he running against?

A Democrat.

I'd vote for Trump.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 48 points 1 month ago

Bingo.

He talked about sexually assaulting women. They made him president.

He massively failed his 1st term. They voted for him again.

He became a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist. They made him president.

Portraying himself as Jesus Christ is not the line for them. There is no line.

If you're really mad, start burning the traitors that lied to you, not just your hats

[-] BigMacHole 47 points 1 month ago

THIS time Trump posting Himself as Jesus is TOO FAR! He BETTER go Back to his NORMAL posting of Himself as Jesus otherwise I'll HOLD MY NOSE when I vote for him AGAIN!

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 43 points 1 month ago

Do we know if the anti-Christ is aware they are the anti-Christ? Because it seems like trump just accidentally stumbled into embodying that concept so perfectly just by being his normal piece of shit self.

[-] Kwiila@slrpnk.net 13 points 1 month ago

No, the idea of the antichrist knowing is a supposition of them being a servant of the beast. A cultural assumption of Satan's "human servants" having first hand communication like one does with a human boss.

https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/

Inasmuch as I could play with the idea of believing in revelations, I would believe that it's less about a "chosen one" antichrist, and moreso an "antichrist candidate" that when someone can fulfill the roll and obtain power; then it's a sign of times incoming. Also, (lego) Brick Bible Revelations is a fascinating interpretation.

It'd be reeeeaally funny if Trump got smote for blasphemy.

If he falls over of a heartattack in the next day my needle may shift from atheist to agnostic.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 18 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I'll put it out there right now: "God? If you're listening, if you send Trump to Hell in the next 24 hours, I promise I will go to church every Sunday for the rest of my life."

And I mean it. I don't believe in any of that nonsense at all, but if that prayer is answered, I'm back on board.

What a bunch of pathetic rubes. These people view politics as a team sport, and have collectively sensed that the tide is turning on the Trump regime (in no small part due to the same realization made by those like Tucker Carlson and Theo Vaughn, others within their purview). This is just an excuse for them to act out that realization. There is no moral conviction in these people whatsoever.

We need to convince them that winning looks like the green new deal and mass unionization across all labor sectors.

I'd rather they burned themselves

They'll keep voting republican

It's a part of their identity

It's how they compensate for not having real personalities

[-] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 30 points 1 month ago

Oh so THAT was the line too far? Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

It's not even a line too far.

They absolutely 100% would vote for him again.

They're just looking for an off-ramp as everything implodes as a result of their actions

[-] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 23 points 1 month ago

And the self serving cunt will skate away yet again because so many people are scared, of changes, of people who don't look like them, of being told that they had it wrong, that they'll lose their little piece of the whatever they have...

[-] leadore@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago

Another clip making the rounds on X featured a MAGA hat ablaze on a barbecue grill.

They're eating the hats ...

Don't believe these kinds of articles. Anyone who voted for Trump the second time already knew what they were getting.

Trump's base is unquestionably faithful and you still need to be vigilant against them because they aren't going anywhere until Trump dies.
