News from Niger? (lemmygrad.ml)
submitted 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hey just wanted to see if anybody had any news about Niger, it's been quiet in my circles and I hope things are going well. If anyone has any news sites they could share that touch on Niger that would be appreciated.

Edit: I accidentally typed in Nigeria instead of Niger. I changed the title and body to reflect that I'm trying to learn about the situation in Niger.

It seems the usual suspects (CIA, MI6) have activated their terrorist proxies again in the region: https://www.france24.com/en/africa/20231101-jihadists-kill-17-people-in-raid-on-remote-village-in-northeast-nigeria

These groups are used to put pressure on the governments of these countries to fall in line with the imperialist agenda else they get even more violence and chaos unleashed on them (like is happening with French backed rebels in Mali).

I could swear the post initially said Nigeria.

Edit: Oh i see, it was a typo and OP fixed it.

Well in that case then i don't know anything particularly interesting to report. Niger has been fairly quiet since the French started leaving. Seems the usual playbook of the imperialists (threats, bribery and blackmail) didn't work this time, the junta called their bluff. Whether things will stay quiet or start heating up again, idk, but i would say that the troublemakers are distracted right now dealing with the situation in the Middle East. There are only so many fires they can put out at once, and it's pretty evident that the empire is overstretched. An excellent opportunity for anti-imperialist forces to open up yet more fronts to stretch them even more, and to have more countries follow Niger's example and slip away from the West's grasp.

Piggybacking this, what about Haiti? Like a year ago Usians sent in their special forces to remove the revolutionaries and "gangs"

Hey you, you're finally awake. The payback from the West against Haiti for kickstarting Atlantic abolitionism will never end.
