Neither one of you are what?

Sorry. I let internet memes influence a joke response. The .gif was the "Noice (nice)" guy because neither state was at a 6900ft average. Wyoming being at 6700ft and Colorado being at 6800ft.

Landlocked states have an advantage because there’s not a lot of land near 0 elevation.

FL & LA the closest thing to the The Netherlands, then?

And then look how they vote. XD

Delaware is pretty much a sandbar with corn off of Maryland's coast.

[-] wildncrazyguy138@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

How the hell is Alaska at half the elevation of Hawaii? There's like a shit load of mountains in Alaska

[-] proudblond@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

Average. There’s a shit ton of mountains (volcanoes) in Hawaii too and it does not take long to go from peak to beach.

[-] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 2 points 1 month ago

Nevada is also the most mountainous US state in terms of the amount of mountain ridges / elevation changes, but that does not mean that the mountains are particularly tall. They have no 14ers, unlike Colorado, but less flat area overall

[-] figjam@midwest.social 2 points 1 month ago

Hawaii is 100% old volcanos

[-] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

[-] wildncrazyguy138@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

This is the second link that I’m unable to see mBin. What’s the reason?

[-] Innerworld@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Not sure, but the URL is the image’s address. You can easily get to it in a browser by clicking the title of the post on Lemmy.

[-] wildncrazyguy138@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

Sad to say, there is no image either.

Something specific to this instance perhaps as other lemmy instances show images with posts.

Though not your issue, thanks for replying. The post sounded interesting.

Geography is just physics slowed down, with a couple of trees stuck in it. - Terry Pratchett

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there, and how they develop and change over time. Read more...
