I've seen the updated build guide from Bowtied Anklyo or whatever his name is, and it pretty much makes sense. However, there are some questions left unanswered. Was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction now that I have all my Decker parts printed and screws/rods/springs/etc in hand.

  1. Previously in the 2.4.x version, there were two screws in the impact plate that set the headspace. It seems like this is no longer the case? Am I correct that the headspace is now set with a single screw facing outwards from the bolt itself - and the two screws in the impact plate now get tightened down all the way?

  2. What is the "looser" firing pin block for? I printed the normal one. I can't see mention of it in the instructions.

  3. Anklyo mentions two separate guide rod notch cutting jigs for a picatinny rear vs a brace rear. I just see one cutting jig in the release files, and I don't know why they would be different. I'm using the "SL Dust Cover (no sight)" located in the "SL Magwell Railed" folder. Okay to use the normal jig in the files, or is there another jig I am missing somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Yes, on the newer version there is only one headspace screw.

  2. The looser means the hole that the back of the firing pin seats in is either looser or tighter. The tight really needs to be press fit and maybe filed out to fit and allow JB Weld. The looser was better option for me.

  3. I shortened the ass end on my build, and cut a different guide rod. That being the case, I didn't even look at guide rod jigs, so can't help you there.
