Lewis needs time to communicate his platform to Canadians. I don't think he's in any hurry to run in a byelection.

I guess that is up to Carney, he paid a solid to PPsmol not standing in his way and allowing a by-election right away.

What riding do you expect him to run in? AFAIK the MPs in Beaches—East York and Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie still have to officially resign.
