Ferrari hype train derailed, as is tradition.
I’d like to congratulate George Russell for his WDC.
Only joking of course.
Unless…
If the performance advantage is due to the compression, at least from June they should lose that advantage
If it is, should we not see that consistently in all the Mercedes powered cars? They are not allowed to withhold from their customer teams anymore like in 2014 with party mode. Also I can't really see it being worth 8 tenths.
True, comparing Williams and Alpine vs Audi and VCARB suggests that its probably not the case.
Unless... Antonella is the fastest Merc, but lacked confidence because of his FP3 crash? No, it's Russell. Congrats to the brit.
Great graphic
The gap reminds of the west maclaren mercedes era. Absolutely dominant. Guess those comprrssion ratio protests wont be going away anytime soon.
I presume Mercs main defence will be that McLaren has the same engine and isn’t as dominant.
I didnt think of that! Good observation!
Won’t stop the competition suggesting that Merc should be nerfed mind you. Interesting to hear Lewis mentioning compression ratios in the post qualifying interviews. 😅
I wish Hamilton had staid at Merc then he would have had a chance at winning the WDC.
I'm pretty sure Merc would have done to Russel what McLaren did to Oscar if they could choose which driver will win
Sigh
Rus, Ver, Ant.
