Unfortunately we are in the age of sensationalism, and lunatics like this one are widely reported because it drives more page views and more clicks.
A community for discussing events around the World
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF 10/19
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

And she’s 21. Like, I feel, as a society, we can comfortably take any brilliance from a 21 year old as someone who has a special insight worthy of sharing, but we can also disregard any of the more outlandish shit that comes out of 21 year olds mouths. A lot of 21 year olds are brash and full of bluster. All that can be written off as immature horseshit.
Again, some are wise beyond their years, or have a decent head on their shoulders and spend their fresh adulthood wisely, doing good. They can have bright, new ideas that should be listened to…but this is not a new idea, nor is it worth reporting. Except as propaganda. Which is exactly what this article is, let’s not kid ourselves.
“Outspoken 21 year old says something horrible and outlandish!” Implied: [see what we’re up against? This particular group of HORRIBLE PEOPLE needs to be “relocated.”] Yes, what this person said was horrible. Yes, there are stupid people who are angry and using that anger inappropriately. But this does not change the current situation. An occupying force is wiping out a long-suffering people with the imperial might of the most war-hungry nations and capitalist enterprises in its ear and at its back. This is not a noble endeavor because some 21 year old said something wrong, the 21 year old is wrong for saying what they said. But…so is what the state of Israel is doing to the Palestinian people. The children dying have nothing to do with this idiot. She is nothing more than convenient war machine propaganda.
The right wing orthodox settlers are indeed really fucking annoying to witness from the outside. It must be beyond infuriating to be their victims.
A crude yet understandable statement from a person who was born, grew up and lived her whole life under such horrible circumstances of occupation and racism, especially now that the movement of ultra-racist, right-extremist, illegal settlers gets supplied with weapons by the government to murder Palestinians in the west bank to chase them out of their homes, in an attempt to expand Israel once again.
I do not support violence by either side but is it really so hard to understand her perspective?
Yes, yes it is hard to understand threatening to drink someone's blood and eat their skull.
I do not support violence by either side but is it really so hard to understand her perspective?
yes. everything. especially the blood drinking, terrorist supporting and the fucking hitler reference.
Now, imagine Jews having this sentiment towards Nazis during WW2.
After all, they're doing to Palestinians what Nazis did to them.
I think a better comparison is the Berlin Wall. Palestinians have blue and green pass cards that dictate where they can go. Or even a Separate But Equal, ala American segregation. I mean Palestinians are limited to certain hospitals, denied utilities and free travel. They drive on separate roads, walled off from the Israeli roads.
... But then thats just the ones outside Gaza. Gazans can't leave and spend their days in abhorrent poverty, now while dodging bombs.
Crazy that people here immediately believe its her that posted this when the Jerusalem Post reports it. It's a random account in her name with a widely available picture, it not hers
Person says they are to the right of Hitler... They should be treated like other Nazi.
Really hurts the Palestinian cause and people amplifying this might be doing it in bad faith knowing it poisons the well
Easier explanation: She didn't post it, it's an obvious fake designed to put her in jail.
Ah yes, JPost, which definitely doesnt have skin in this game. Especially considering she denied the post lmao.
Even then, maybe dont settle and kill her family if you're gonna be pissed at her response.
Yeah, she's not helping anyone.
Daft cow
How would you deal with armed settlers kicking your family out of your home at gunpoint? Sounds like you don’t understand the situation in the West Bank, a location with negligible Hamas presence. Over 50 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers and IDF agents sent to help them enforce their colonization.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Palestinian political activist and terrorist supporter Ahed Tamimi called for the murder of settlers in the West Bank in an Instagram post on Monday, according to Israeli media.
"We are waiting for you in all the West Bank cities from Hebron to Jenin - we will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke," she wrote on social media.
The 21-year-old became famous following the distribution of videos and photographs in which she attacked IDF soldiers in several incidents in her home village, Nabi Saleh.
Tamimi was arrested after she was filmed slapping an officer and kicking him during confrontations in Nabi Saleh, with her mother and other young women by her side.
She was convicted as part of a plea deal and also admitted to two additional charges of interfering with a soldier and incitement.
Her violence toward IDF soldiers has created fame for Tamimi in the Palestinian community.
