HK protestors were killing people and wanted it to return to British rule (look out for the Butcher's Apron at the protests) Be very skeptical of western news talking about a sovereign country regaining its territory from colonisers as "crackdowns" or "authoritarian"

If this shakes your faith, then you must have seen exacty what you were meant to see. It’s a modern iteration of the Tank Man photo. It was a CIA-backed media event designed to create violence & chaos in the hopes of provoking a violent reaction from the Chinese state, and to manufacture Western consent for regime change.

This is CIA propaganda. Those people were protesting for Reactionary counter revolution. They were ignorant students who had been convinced that all their problems were the fault of communism. They were sold a lie about how great things are in western nations and they ate it up because they were kids who don't know any better.

People protesting for less democracy and higher rent - should be said the police killed 0 people during these protests while the protestors targeted ethnic groups who where previously subjected to aperthied and murdered them.

Not what is based or unbased about this. It's just a shot of a protestor then of some police with dramatic music. As far as the things that usually in protests and the ensuing response from state forces nothing is shown here.

Eh. This doesn't mean much without context. The Hong Kong protests afaik were reactionary and had Western elements to it. Also, who is filming, and why does the police ignore them?
