so awesome! .. if you have never watched this before or even if you have , try the movie The Pumaman , I had to pause it a few times cause i was crying laughing.
Donald Pleasence's best role.
The Touch of Satan is really good too
I love their impromptu vocals during the credits.
Oh wow, thank you for unlocking this memory. I don't remember much of the details of the movie but I remember my sides hurt from laughing so damn much.
The pu-MAY-min.
🎵Puuumaman... He flies like a moron🎵
for a limited four-episode engagement
This is MST3K. It doesn't need a huge budget to churn out like 50 of these. The original show premiered on local access television.
"~~Tony Stark~~ Joel Hodgson Was Able To Build This In ~~A Cave~~ Minneapolis, With A Box of Scraps!"
A lot of the cost is in licencing the movies, as nowadays they try to get a perpetual licence so they don't need to take it down from their site after x years. Many old episodes aren't available any more because of licencing issues, as they were licensed for cable/TV broadcast, and maybe international broadcast, but probably not internet streaming distribution, as that wasn't a thing at the time.
LITERALLY the wall behind him had like hungry hungry hippos and crap on it.
Thats amazing. Glad to know well see something new again. For this day and age i wish they tried some new things though. Like we all know the attention span of most people will not last that long so i wish they would try doing stuff like commercial breaks. There are some awful commercials out there and i think fitting in 2 to 5 min segments of that would be a great watch to bring in new people.
You mean like the new stuff they tried a few years ago but was a miss for a bunch of people?
It was the cost of it that put me off seeing those episodes, it was something like $12 per episode, which is a bit much. I wouldn't mind dropping $3 or so on an episode, but what they were asking was a bit much.
I love that they are going to make more episodes. I have enjoyed all of the eras and am glad they will still come back.
Are they dumping the Netflix cast entirely, or will we be able to se tv’s frank meet tv’s son of tv’s frank?
Also, if you haven't watched them, there are like 200+ rifftrax!
I'm excited about this one actually! I haven't really enjoyed it after Mike, it always just felt off somehow in the netflix reboot. But I love Mike, Joel, Kevin, Trace, Frank, Mary Jo, and even Bill Corbett, and this seems to suggest at least some of those people will be involved. It does suggest Mike won't be in the theater, but I sincerely hope either he or Joel is and not some random new human.
I liked Jonah and Felicia Day.
I didn't hate Jonah, I just didn't like him with the show personally, I'd probably like him on other stuff. I actually never saw Felicia's and I do like her in other stuff, so I'll check that out and may like that! Didn't know she had done any.
Honestly I was surprised how much I laughed at some of the newer ones, but at the end of the day it’s hard for me to enjoy it too much without Bill and Kevin as Crow and Tom. I love both Mike and Joel (with Mike being my favorite) but that version of the bots is irreplaceable imho. And while I enjoy Rifftrax, I just feel like those 3 were at their best playing those characters
wow, that’s a lot more than I expected. Their campaign started a week ago?
We're on a collision course to wackiness!
