I've long wanted to see Star Trek branch out into different TV genres (and am glad to see them, more or less, doing so these days). But I would LOVE a House-like medical show involving Starfleet Medical, or a police procedural involving like Starfleet Intelligence. That way you can still get ethical dilemmas and alien-of-the-week stories, but approach them from a different perspective.
I prefer On Patrol: Live, but haven't watched it in over a year.
I remember when Fox TV had a Star Trek TNG marathon back in the day, and they used thr "Bad Boys" theme but rewrote the lyrics...
