I don't like Hasan, but I don't think "rabid ultra-zionist pigs" is particularly insulting. That's some reddit level censorship where anything they want to construe as harassment, is.
Curious to people that are leftist that "don't like Hasan". I see this comment a lot always when defending him but starting with that prerequisite. Do you mean you just don't enjoy his content style? If so, I can understand that.
There are things I don't like about him. But I don't really judge content creators by whether I'd be friends with them or not or whether their style is for me. For him, I like him because he serves a purpose of countering right wing and racist propaganda in a way that is most attractive to the people that are most vulnerable to it (young men). And he is clearly good at that.
I like him for that alone. He's a huge net positive in my opinion.

In the meantime, he streamed on YouTube for the first time in like 7 years, had 140k viewers at the peak, and made a TON of money from super chats, all while being able to stream his regular news coverage AND attend the ICE Out of LA protest in solidarity.

The only times Hasan has been banned from Twitch was for insulting racist white people. And they say he's doing hate speech. Pathetic.
My wife was watching that stream and just in shock. He made something like ~~7 million dollars~~ *$18,000 *from superchats on his first(?) YouTube stream. He started it bashing the platform and by the end he was talking about his plan for what he'll be posting/streaming to YouTube in the long term. The temp ban definitely backfired by pushing him to a platform where he immediately got 10x the viewers he'd normally expect

He streamed last night on YouTube. Supposedly it peaked at 150k viewers.
I personally saw it hit 100k but I dipped in and out.
And when he turned on super chats he probably made a few thousand dollars in the first 3 minutes. I've never seen anything like it.

It doesn't say much about watch lists but it does say a lot about what it takes to become wealthy.
