Most Democratic senators’ word is about as trustworthy as a Republican’s word.
Only action matters at this point; anything else will be considered lies and half truths.
Oh, you can take Republicans at their word. Most of what they committed to doing, they are doing. It's just that what they committed to doing (Project 2025), is evil as fuck.
They'll vow until it's time to vote.
They really wanted to block the vote, but the Parliamentarian said they couldn't. Rules are rules.
The parliamentarian is there as an advisory position, they have no authority and Congress can choose to ignore their recommendations.

The parliamentarian exists to advise the chamber on existing procedures, but it is the presiding officer’s duty to make rulings. However, any senator may raise a point of order challenging the ruling of the presiding officer for not following the correct procedure. The dispute would then be put to a vote of the chamber. Ultimately, senators themselves are responsible for deciding the outcome of all parliamentary questions, even if they go against standing rules and precedent.

If they renege on this then we absolutely need to primary every dem senator. We need something to show this party that empty gestures aren't enough anymore.

Yeah I suppose it is worth focusing on the Democrats when all this is clearly due to tacit Republican support every step of the way.
