As the title says, I finally like my PPA-CF(aka the artist formally known SirayaTech PAHT-CF apparently???) print settings!

Granted these are a bit on the extreme of settings (0.12 layer lines... Wait... What layers? Lmao) instead of 0.16, but truth be told, (and sadly, or not so sadly depending on your outlook, for some other Bambu owners) what I feel did the biggest difference hands down was doing the "Poor Man's X1E mod" where you add a 33Ohm (NOT kOhm!!!) resistor in line with your thermistor so that temps above 280ish are drastically higher. For reference my printer was printing this at what it "thought" was "only" 293C, But IRL it was basically printed at a 318-320C actual nozzle temp.

The max "stock" 300C setting with this gets you roughly around 340-354C IRL, which means I can't WAIT for Polymaker to have their 3kg rolls of PPS-CF available for order to test! Open to suggestions of what to print with it first btw!

If anyone is interested in this mod or futther settings (they're largely stock other than the temp/cooling, or lack thereof) or anything else, please feel free to hmu however you see fit.

And as always, keep up the good work fellow fosscad-ers!

I appreciate you testing your luck with ppa-cf. I know it seems like there's a lack of real-world data for our application, so good work. Had no idea you needed that high of temperatures as well.. Side note, those came out gloriously.

Thanks! Always glad to try anything that makes "sense". Been printing (not guncad obviously lol) since the Ultimaker2 days so I've got at least some "feel" for it.

Can't wait to try these PPA-CF parts, and I'm especially giddy to get my hands on PPS-CF... lower layer adhesion it seems but INSANE heat deflection along with tensile and other strengths, plus moisture insensitvity.

You technically can get away with printing PPA-CF, at least Siraya's stuff (also called PAHT-CF by them) at 300*C (actual IRL nozzle temp) buuuut I can tell you the extra 20C or so make a BIG difference at least in appearance, feel, everything really. I may even try printing another part or two at even a few degrees higher to test.

The poor man’s temperature mod is to print slow as shit so that the nozzle and filament reach as hot as possible. This is neat though - guessing it works on the P1s also?
