From record-breaking grey seal numbers to award-winning conservation projects, 2025 has been a milestone year for marine wildlife in Cumbria.

Major achievements have been recorded along the county’s coastline, from South Walney to the Solway Firth.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust has shared its coastal highlights of the year, showcasing successes in conservation, community engagement and wildlife protection.
