How sadly predictable.

It's certainly captured, but I wouldn't count it out just yet.The old media is absolutely 100% a write-off. But, unless the authoritarians work together to fully censor the internet. It's easier for them to reach readers now on their own than it's ever been before.

Breaking many from the generational tradition that is turning on the local evening news. It's definitely going to be hard. But now more than ever, people have a chance to really bank on their name and reputation as the establishment throws theirs away.

We need to start laying our own cables. The underlying technology is sound but they can in worst case just cut the wires, unless we make that impossible. As long as bits can flow from person to person all the rest is software

I'm looking at eventually trying to set up a local mesh Halow network. With some remote nodes being solar powered if possible. For a nice few kilometer wide basic anarchist network. That may or may not have access to the internet. But would at least provide some basic communication services to those local.

And we've nearly arrived at the ultimate goals of the 7 mountains mandate.

Liberalism strikes again, always performative in their actions and ready to abandon their principles in a second.

Start reading leftist news sources instead of this mainstream crap.

    In America corporations are people.

All for profit corporations have one simple goal which is to increase their parofits.

The governments that will allow them to do that are when Republicans are in charge.

I don't know how you pin this on liberalism.

Because they don't know what any of it really means. They should quit playing that stupid game and accept that at the top it doesn't matter what they pretend to be. They are the moneyed classes, the power classes and they enjoy having people jump through their pretend ideologies while they hold on to their hoard of money.

Because a leftist organisation would hold some conviction.

Liberalism doesn't care about society and will happily abandon anything 'progressive' at the drop of a hat, and like wise will slap a pink/rainbow coat of paint on top when it suits them.

Define liberalism & what that has to do with NBC. I don't think you can.

Liberalism a set of beliefs around very basic personal liberty and a strong focus on property rights, promoting "free markets" and laissez-faire policies directly resulting in capitalist systems that favour profit over integrity.

They didn't have to comply in advance, at least it shows us they have no backbone.

I already disliked NBC when they bought the platform Breaking News and shut it down in 2016. That platform literally helped expose me to headlines I would never have seen otherwise.
