The crews of the Generator Sets and Electric Services Company began assembling 25 diesel engines donated by the People's Republic of China, which will strengthen electricity generation in several provinces.

These engines, distributed in Matanzas, Ciego de Ávila, Holguín, and Havana, will contribute 30 MW to the national system (1.8 MW each). The donation also includes spare parts to maintain the operating capacity of the generating park. The assembly, which requires high-precision maneuvers, has the support of the Party, the Government, the Electric Union, and the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Thanks to this cooperation, Cuba has recovered 225 MW of electrical capacity during the year. This donation reflects the brotherhood and solidarity between Cuba and China and reinforces the joint commitment to the sustainable development of the Cuban energy sector.
